Wish Tower for me, along with many others. Absolutely outstanding (after shaky start).

The wind had a bit too much west in it for a nice launch and it made it hard to work out what sail to rig. Most were on 4.7s, so I opted for a 4.5 after much dithering, as it really didn't look that windy.

The launch was interesting in a deeply unpleasant way. It required a short swim to get out past the breakwaters and along with the monster swell rolling in, it was quite offputting. Still, I made it in the end in a very ungraceful way only to find that it was absolutely ballistic out there. The waves were pretty good at the start, but I couldn't sheet in to do anything with them. Came in after a few runs when I realised it wasn't dropping and quickly rigged my 4m. That was way better, although I was still overpowered for much of the time.

I wish I was better in waves, as they were peachy today. I managed a few rides on absolutely buttery waves and they were good for quite a few turns. The Wish Tower always has an atmosphere to it and today was the biggest I've seen it I think. GingerPete lost his Wish Tower cherry to it, so big well done for that.

Absolutely well worth the skive, but boy am I in trouble.
